Q: My kit is missing a part. What should I do?
A: Brains in Jars takes great pride in our quality assurance process, however we are still only human and sometimes mistakes happen. Please contact our support team at email@example.com and let us know which parts you require. We will be more than happy to work with you to get you back to building your kit as quickly as possible.
Q: I accidentally broke a part while assembling my kit. What should I do?
A: Please contact our support team at firstname.lastname@example.org and include a picture of your broken part. We will be happy to work with you to get you a replacement part so you can get back to building your kit as quickly as possible.
Q: My kit was damaged during shipping. What should I do?
Please email email@example.com and include a description of the damages as well as pictures of the damaged items/packaging. Replacements will be arranged with our support team. The information you provide about the damages is very helpful in assessing how we package our orders and helps prevent similar problems in the future.
Q: Where can I find the instructions for my model kit?
A: If your kit comes with instructions they can be found on the item’s product page.
Q: Are you developing other kits? When will they be made available for purchase?
A: We are currently developing new and exciting kits that we hope to debut in the future. To receive new product announcements you can ask to be added to our mailing list and receive our newsletters. Newsletters are sent out three to four times each year. To be added to our mailing list please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Q: I would like to sign up for your newsletter. How do I do that?
A:To sign up for our newsletter please fill out the sign up form at the bottom of this page. Three or four times a year Brains in Jars emails out a newsletter letting people know what new products we are offering, what events we will be attending and other important news. We will never sell or give away your information to third parties and we promise we won’t spam your inbox.
Q: I love your 3D printed wares and would like to purchase some. Where can I buy them?
A: All of our 3D printed wares including jewelry, desk sculptures and household items are available through our Shapeways shop here. Please note that jewelry purchased through Shapeways does not come with chains or findings.
Q: What is your return & refund policy?
Model & Electronics Kits
Brains in Jars will issue refunds for unassembled and unmodified kits within 60 days of purchase. Kits that have been opened can be returned, but are subject to a 20% restocking fee. Kits that have been partially assembled, fully assembled, or modified are not eligible for refunds. Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs.
To be eligible for a refund the customer must have emailed email@example.com before the 60 day return period is up. Once Brains in Jars has confirmed that we will accept the return the customer has 7 days to ship the returned product to us. If the customer does not ship the product back within the 7 day window a refund will not be issued. Brains in Jars strongly encourages shipping returns via a tracked shipping method as any packages lost during transit will not be eligible for a refund.
Brains in Jars will issue a refund with in 7 days of receiving your returned kit. This allows us time to verify the status of the returned kit.
3D Printed Wares from Shapeways
Our Shapeways products are governed by Shapeways terms and conditions. Please refer to the Shapeways return policy.
A: Brains in Jars takes the privacy of our customers very seriously. When you purchase an item from us we do not store your credit card information. None of your payment information is stored on our servers, but instead is handled by Stripe or PayPal depending on your purchase method.
If you choose to sign up for our newsletter you will receive approximately three to four emails per year highlighting new products and letting you know which events Brains in Jars will be attending. As a Canadian company we are bound by PIPEDA legislation, which ensures your personal information is protected. We will also always comply with Canada’s anti spam laws, as laid out in the CAN-SPAM act.
We will never sell your personal information, and we will not release it to third parties unless bound by law.
